Les Miserables (Victor Hugo)
A fabulous classic, what I call great literature. The story centers on Jean Valjean, imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family with aggravated sentence for forced labor in the galleys for trying to escape. Through we still have the French Revolution and the Battle of Waterloo. A briliantly written and fabulous book.
